Frida, Beverly Hills

Ventured out to Beverly Hills…thirsty. And what better place to stop for a drink and to watch the Heat lose. (Fingers crossed). I’ll start off by saying how amazing it is to have an attentive server/ bartender

Pancho’s Manhattan Beach

Oh Bruce. I don’t usually use this blog for controversial topics, nor do I want to point fingers at the local establishments. But sometimes, like when it’s felt first hand, I have to put my word out there. Whether heard by 1 or 21 or 2001, I’ve been asked to leave establishments before. Be it too drunk, too loud, too not listening to the much wiser bartender. I get it, there are rules, and I

Stuffing ourselves at Sizzler in Torrance

You drive by 5 times a week, mention it maybe once every month, trying to remember the last time you went. And it’s that one time you’re driving by and randomly get the urge and shout out..”Sizzzler”??? It’s familiar, it’s homey, it’s not too spicy or too bland. It brings back memories…and stories. Today it’s a salad bar lunch and cheese bread! (Remember the cheese bread)? Our first round included alittle spaghetti with meatballs, carnitas,

Hamburger Mary’s

Melissa kicks some ass. Taking care of us, making sure our drinks never get low and looking cute as hell in the process.

El Torito, Redondo Beach for brunch

Well, Sunday brunch is always fun. Especially a brunch with bottomless mimosas. I’ll start with the location….Redondo Beach Pier. We asked for a window booth and they sat us with a smile.

Hamburger Mary’s , Long Beach

Sitting outside on a patio with a big drink, great company, and a nice breeze never gets old. When it’s with your people, there’s a lil something more. Hamburger Mary’s in Long Beach is just that place. Vampire Weekend on the jukebox…semi-friendly bartender/server ( he may just be busy) , the scent of Aqua di Gio (circa 1995) wafting our way…the day couldn’t be more perfect. La Water and Stoli Lemonade are our drinks of

Rockwell Table and Stage, Los Angeles

Just sat down outside, gorgeous day, mimosas in hand. DJ spinning a nice outdoor brunchy mix. (Which included some Michael Jackson, Tribe Called Quest, kajagoogoo and even TEQUILA ) The patio is full, but not crowded, comfortable. And they are confident enough in their meals. No salt and pepper shakers on the tables.

Cabo Cantina, West Hollywod

Out here at Cabo Cantina in Weho, drinking some mimosas (bottomless til 3:00!!!) Crowd is light, but all seen to be having a good time. Five Tvs outside (which is where we are on this stunning day)! Menu looks like Fiesta Cantina…a lot. They must be related or ummm? 2:04 – Steak Nachos and our second mimosa just arrived. Mine is almost gone already. Shhh, I’m thirsty! Lakers are down But Daniella is keeping us

Fiesta Cantina – West Hollywood –

Well, what better to do on a stunning So Cal day than sit on a patio drinking (my guilty pleasure). So today I’m at Fiesta Cantina with my partner in crime. A Watermelon margarita (with a mega boost) and Grande steak fries on the table in front of us. We doubled the 2:00 pm crowd when we arrived. Apparently unnoticed. Walked to the bar and ordered, but he was nice enough to bring the drinks
